Sitting in a hardwood bottom with several white oaks but they've already fallen. Around 55° with a gentle breeze in my favor. Nothing but skwerls so far.

I wish I could find some acorns of any kind, They are hard to come by on my club in Lawley.
We have some of the prettiest hardwoods you can find, but there seems to be no acorns.
Plenty of hickory nuts but no acorns.

Got my first deer in 15 years yesterday in Fayetteville. A spike at 30 yards, went from lungs to liver. Maybe 110# undressed. Drew on him and was going to let him go, but that sucker would not get away from my treestand.

Full of acorns, ought to be tasty. 4 more and I can justify the $300 out of state license.
