I’m hunting Bankhead this morning. Set up on some white oaks in select cut hardwoods. Going to be very noisy with all the logging activity 400 yards from me.

If it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any luck either. I fill for ya, been there done that.

Ya'll need to get after it so I can live vicariously through ya'll....one of my best friends in MS (they opened 10/1), been bowhunting for 4 or 5 years now and still hasn't killed anything. He passed up several does over the last few years b/c he wanted his first bow kill to be a buck - he sent me a video of 2 decent sized 8pts within about 15yds...he passed them up! I asked why he didn't shoot, he said he was so excited and the adrenaline was pumping so hard, he literally forgot to pick his bow up and sling an arrow.

Oh hell, it’ll take 3 pages to list all of the equipment he used along with reviews in the kill thread.

Set up about like shiloh, like a giraff, nothing going right, spot was all messed up, moved to a random location and just got to watch two does and 3 fawns cross this creek and play around, Enjoying the Creators Creation.

I'm stuck in the office today. Sucks because I've had two wall hangers coming like clockwork and I can't get after them till Saturday. But I've been religiously switching between work, this thread, and hunting videos on youtube to keep my sanity.

Got water to my right. Persimmons in front and pictures of a group of does coming ng through daily. Hope the warmer weather doesn't ruin things. Plus I forgot my water.but it is good to be in a stand.

Sitting close to a thicket beside some acrons that are falling like rain. This front coming has deer moving. 80degrees when I got out of truck seen 8 by 2:30 this afternoon.

Hunted this morning. Seen two does. Morning activity on our cameras has been showing 3-5 activity and 4-6 in the afternoons. Unfortunately got called into work. Good luck guys

Hunting Bankhead again this afternoon. Moved about 5 miles down the road and set up in some select cut hardwoods. The white oaks in here have a ton of deer sign under them. Now if this wind will make up its mind, because I know I smell like a goat from all this sweating. Good luck y’all.

I saw 3 doe and a 6point from where I was fishing behind my house today. Called to see if I could lease it and someone leased it yesterday LOL. of course.

That was an extremely warm walk in.

I saw 3 does on the side of I-65 in Chilton County this morning about 9:45. I waved at them when I went by.

Living thru y’all today. Stuck at work outside of Dallas Tx. 41 deg and raining all day with a wind chill of 34. A far cry from 92 when left home yesterday.

I saw a handful of does and the biggest damn squirrel in Alabama. He had to weigh 5lbs.

I didn't even realize I posted the LFTT in the wrong forum till someone posted that it belonged here. Thought it was wierd that no own had made a LFTT Opening day thread.

Anyway the good Lord blessed me with a fat matriarch.

Best part is that I got an 11 year old boy that ain't got his daddy around to help collect that deer. He is my (2) 11 year old girls classmate. One of these kids that has all the potential in the world and is super smart but really rough around the edges 'cause no adult men take the time to spend with him. His daddy ain't never been around and his step-daddy had a stroke last year and can't physically do much with him, I guess. But it was great to show him that he is important and make him feel special.

My son and I had a great evening, just couldn't get the shot.
Put the sneak on a big doe heading in, then she eased off, then she came back and caught us half way up the ladder.....
10 min standoff. Then needed just a few more seconds to get the shot. Got to watch 3 more till dark. They really moved this pm. Nada this AM
