I’m here for one of those “quick before work” hunts. I have a real easy spot to slip into that’s right along a travel route. I think I decided to sit this weekend out and try to get ahead on some other stuff so I can hunt hard when it’s cooler, but I couldn’t take not hunting at least once. It was killing me

Settled in. Spooked up some roosted helicopters I mean turkeys walking in. That'll get your blood flowing.

Had some deer come through at first light. Looked to be a couple doe but couldn't tell. Only have til 9 and then I have to go to the office.

Had a doe with two fawns feed directly under me for 15 minutes. Something spooked em and they took off. Wind is good and I never moved so I don’t think it I’ll was me. I’ll keep sitting, hope something bigger and with less babies comes through

First morning to hunt. Yesterday afternoon on my first hunt of the season I saw 4. 3 were does for sure. The 4th came in behind me and winded me. Never blew, but left at about 95 mph. Back in the same stand this morning with white oaks raining down. I've killed a buck out of this stand on my first day the past 2 yrs. hoping to on my 2nd day this year. Winston Cty.

Doe and a fawn just came by. More deer coming.

I know you can’t base everything on cameras, but based on the pictures I have, activity pretty much stops after 730 here. I get pictures at 7 on the dot every single day.

I’m planning on a midday sit today. Been getting lots of pics midday

Nice young buck

858 2 of the biggest does I have seen in person. Walked 279 degrees around meclosest they got was 8-10 yards DOWNWIND! Didn’t smell me!!!
Going to get down at 11, break for lunch and be back for an evening hunt.

Got to sit a little before I had to get to work. Set up on a 10 yd wide lane and picked a trail crossing with wind in my face. Had 3 does and a yearling cross about 80 yds down. I know where I'll be in the morning! Good luck fellas

Had a good hunt. Seen 3 doe and 2 fawn. All came inside of 20 yards. Had to get down at 9 and do to work. Back at it in the morning.

Ended up seeing a bunch of squirrels and turkeys. 0 deer but it was still a great morning to be up a tree.

At work today and going to the Bama Tennessee game tomorrow. Excited for the cold temps next week.

Back in the stand for the first evening hunt of the season. Damn it got warm!

WooHoo first hunt of the year for me. Set up on a small hard wood ridge surrounded by old cutover. Doesn't seem to be many oaks dropping, see a deer gotta go

Well boys, the chipmunk rut is in. Now is prime time!

Well I got to the club in time for a hunt. Decided to hunt a field that doesn't have any trees so I brought a ground blind. Got it set up and was clearing shooting lanes and 3 deer came out. Had to belly crawl back in to the blind. Wish they would leave so I could take these damn screens off. Can't range anything with them on

I've been in a ladder stand at a pinch point between two food plots this afternoon. I had a 3 point come out at 5:25 and a big doe and fawn joined him in the field at 5:45. They fed their way toward me for the next ten minutes and finally I was able to get drawn on the doe. I shot her quartering away at 20 yds...The shot looked and felt good and she mule kicked before jumping 10' high over an old fence to get back in the thicket.

Give her a minute to die....Sounds like you smoked her.

Well dang, broke my streak of seeing deer! I’m thinking about trying tomorrow same spot then taking a break for a few days till it cools off

Ended up seeing 14. Had what looked like a good 8pt come out. Never did get a shot at a doe without a fawn

430 doe came running in. Got to the wood line and acted normal. Even peed. 5 minutes later, a spike took her same trail. Peed in the same spot she did. No scraping, just peed. Then followed her same trail out.

By the way the spike was Twiggy. The only buck I have seen all season.

Monday, Wednesday and now Friday.

Had 6 does in bow range this morning. Couldn’t get a shot before they winded me

Had a good day but no shooters. Besides the 2-1/2 yr old I posted earlier I saw 3 younger bucks and a yearling doe. Another one saw me just before I climbed down. I was waiting on 2 young bucks to leave the field behind me and it got plumb dark on me.

Congrats on the kill. I kept waiting on a big doe but young deer is all I had a shot at.

yea i didnt see anything but a person walk in on me and called it a day ill be back after the rain on tuesday morning for a doe then back to the spot for the 3 yr old buck

Oh yeah when I saw the arrow hit I was like oh yeah! Upon recovery she was quartering towards me more than expected and I was high in the tree so it came out low and back. Guts plugged the hole.
