Wrong arrows? - 10/19/17 08:58 PM
Been shooting Easton Flatline 400's 7.4gpi with my switchback xt and my creed. Both are 28 dL and set on 62 lbs. I picked up some Gold Tip Hunter Pro 400 8.2gpi to try. Was thinking about shooting the Gold Tips with the creed. Problem is I didn't realize they are 8.2gpi. Not really a big deal since I'm in the process of setting up a hha ultra on the creed. What would y'all do? Stay with the Easton's or go with gold tips?

I'm a GT guy. As long as you are properly spined, I don't think you can go wrong with a quality name brand arrow. A little heavier arrow means more penetration and a little quieter.

I've been using Goldtips for over 10 years and have been pleased.

Shoot the gold tips. They're only 25 grains heavier on a full length arrow. You won't notice much difference until you get past 40 yards.

The spine is correct and that’s the most important thing. The Gold Tips will weigh approx. 22.5gr. more that the Flatlines, which won’t mean squat til you get past 45 to 50 yards. In my opinion the Gold Tips would be the better choice.
