Just got here this morning about to head in good luck to everyone out there today

I just finished setting up in the tree. This is my first sit on public land this year. It feels good!

A pack of coyotes cutting up and singing before daylight will get your heart pumping!

Hunting Bankhead National Forest this morning. I am set up on a pine ridge logging road surrounded by hardwoods. Good luck y’all.

Presently hauling dirt,seen 2 does yesdee evenin 2nd time ive seenem together munchin on acurns..but they say 1 is the lonliest number..so may make one a little lonlier tahmarrah if they come back..

Weather is great this morning. I hope today is better than yesterday. I didn’t see a deer yesterday morning or evening. So many acorns makes it tough!

Ain’t that the truth! I’m hunting in the pines this morning and gave the acorns a break.

Back in a hang on this morning it feels good this morning.

Present, hunting a ridge. Hoping a big 8 I have on camera strolls through.

Live from beautiful Stennis Space Center. The sad thing is, I see deer out here every day. They don't get hunted at all on 14,000 acres of NASA property, so they don't fear humans.

757 1 doe, came in and walked passed at 30 yards.

It’s a high population low pressure area. I’m just getting lucky for sure. I think I’m just set up on a deer highway. Trails everywhere in these cedar and hardwood trees along with acorns.

Just every 3rd day. Haven’t seen anything yet.

if I don’t see a deer here shortly I will be 0/4 to start the year!

I had a bobcat sneak through right before I got down that was all the action for me this morning.

Headed into a secluded area going in early so I can get there

2 does and a fawn right at 10:30. I wanted to climb down but had to wait on them to leave. Pulled the card on the camera I have in the area and the big 8 I’m hunting was there at 5pm yesterday. I was going sit the afternoon out but I’m thinking otherwise now.

Made it to the stand again. It's hot, but I am glad to be in the woods. Hunting new spot with lots of sign. Hopefully something shows.

Set up on a narrow power line field. Ran one out of the field coming in. It's hotter than hell.

Just settled in. Got here a little later than I wanted cause I left my harness at the truck. Hunting a small plot between thick bedding cover and a hardwood ridge. Man it's hot.

Passed on 3 doe. Maybe tomorrow morning will bring something with horns.

Been on 2 actual hunts this is my 3rd yr on this property and ive seen deer both times im getting better at what to look for

Passed on 6 does feeding under white oaks , seen 10 total ,all slicks.

Saw 3 bucks this afternoon. Needed about 10 more minutes of daylight and I’d have stuck a good one. Just ran out of time.

Bankhead is 4 & JD is 0. I will get back after them Monday. SMH

One spike and one coyote. No shot on the yote. I might skip the warm weekend and be back next week after the cold front...when I can shank a doe!

So I missed this Buck but he never knew where I was , when do I go back and hunt him ??
