what should i be doing right now/ what are you doing right now?

I know we still have a while before bow season but what are you guys doing to get ready if anything. is it to early to start preparing?

Never to early to start preparing. If you need your bow tuned or restrung, now would be the time to do it. If you plan on changing arrows, broadheads, release, sight or your rest, take care of it as soon as possible. I've already restrung all of my hunting rigs and resighted them. In the next couple of weeks, I'm going to refletch a few of my arrows and try them out with four fletches.

How do I know if my bow needs tuning? I just had my bow restrung from archery unlimited last year. And I know I need more arrows and a new pin sight since I only have 4 arrows left and my pin sight has a crack at the top

If your peep is still behaving, the weight has remained the same and you're still grouping well it should still be in tune.

I've been shooting some and hitting left a bit. Decided to paper tune and made a rest adjustment. Hitting the range tomorrow to finish up any sight adjustments. Gotta get in shape for elk season as well.

I am practicing. I am wanting to increase my maximum hunting distance from 40 yards to 50 yards. I shot 6 rounds yesterday at 60 yards.

Checking out aerials on some Ohio wildlife areas. Going up with some friends October 31st to bow hunt for 10 days. It can't get here soon enough. Going to start shooting a little each week.

Well. Went to Gander mountain Monday and picked up a 5 pin truglo sight that was originally $99 bucks and got it for $38 also bought 6 schwacker broadheads, 2 bow hangers and a new quiver all 60% off. Today I took my bow to archery unlimited to adjust my draw length. Next week I plan on buying new arrows and a new target.

Shoot often. Shoot from a stand, if you are going to be using climber or loc-on. Wax your string often. Visually inspect the string, is it showing damage from last season? Shooting a bow often till it becomes second nature. This means you do it automatically because your mind and body are just accustomed to doing it.
