Hunting Bankhead National Forest this morning. Set up in a natural funnel where four hollows meet. Seen two fresh scrapes walking in. First climb in this spot this year. Good luck y'all.

JD are you running into more hunters up there since all the publicity about the big deer?

I avoid the gun hunts if possible. As for as bowhunters no. A lot of people are all talk, they are not coming out here. Maybe next years first couple of gun hunts there may be a few more show up. I do most of my hunting during the week, so that may be the difference also.

Just seen my first deer this morning. Big bodied running is all I know.

Well it's a buck chasing a doe. Just to thick to tell how big he is. He is not grunting and is keeping her very close. Stay tuned.........
