Rut

I hunt in Lowdnes County, and the rut doesn't start until later in year (late January and into February some years). I have a friend who's in a club in Shelby County, and he says their rut is starting. Is this true?

I can't tell you about Shelby, but they are kicking off pretty good in Lee.

Depending on exactly where he is, it could be, or it could be another 2 weeks out.

Pockets of deer in Bibb and shelby will be hot Christmas week, others won't start until mid January.

Or early dec. It depends on the zip code in this part of the state.
