It's a beautiful morning in Ohio. Back in the stand I was in yesterday. Turkeys are yelping and flying down around me. I had just got in the stand and pulled my bow up when 4 does came by. I think my doe tag is filled. We'll go look for her after we're done hunting this morning.
Update: I can see her from my stand and there has been a small buck tending her all morning. He just won't leave. I'm waiting on my buddy to get done hunting and bring the atv to get me.
Set up at T where 2 hardwood bottoms meet. I've got cutover on two sides and 12yo pines on the other. Emmett is in my loc-on about 500 yards up one of the bottoms. If I stick one in here I'll probably have to rent a helicopter to get it out. No need for a rangefinder either. All shot opportunities will be 20 yards or less.
On Long stretch h of pines looking into hardwood bottom. CREEK still has some water in it. Wind is perfect. JUST glad to be here. HOPE this tree doesn't snap while I'm in it. KIND of windy..
Way up on a high hardwood ridge, lots of acorns and poop and rubs and stuff! LOL. Got a coon in front of me right now. 454 pictures since last Wednesday and not a single one of them are during the daylight.
Hunting Black Warrior this afternoon. Set up in select cut pines. It's just like a huge greenfield. I will need a lot of luck to get one close enough to shoot.
Had two does feed down in the bottom to my right. Watched them for an hour and then one started to blow. Same thing happened in the same spot 2 weeks ago. I don't understand. There is no way she smelled or saw me.
