Tactacam footage of a buck I stuck

Blew the shot once again. Held full draw for too long. He was tailing a doe. I don't know why I grunted for him to stop when he was already stopped. Wasn't thinking rationally. Trailed him for 500 yards after I have him an hour. Found arrow, def hit shoulder.http://youtu.be/uqWl30OPnaE

Yep. It was textbook. It's hard to explain what goes through your head at that point. I was afraid he or she would see me if I let off. So compound the fact that I was already nervous and trying to hold draw. I definitely will be thinking about this one for a while but the experience was great nonetheless.

My arms are burnt out, and my shoulder is hurting after watching that.

Love seeing the breath coming out in the cold from him!!

What was that noise, shoot then clack? Did your limb hit something?

I was in a Summit Viper and turned sideways. I remember when I drew I had trouble clearing the cable. That could have been a cam or limb hitting the cable.

Dang nice buck! I know its aggravating, but its why we love the sport of bow hunting. There is a lot of stuff that runs through your head in that short amount of time. Get back in the woods as soon as possible and kill something. It is the best remedy for the big buck blues.

That sucks. Maybe you'll get another chance. One question, did you grunt at him with your mouth just before you shot? I heard something and he looked straight at you. Just curious if you did, why?

I did. I don't know why. Habit I guess. He had no idea I was there.
