On the edge of some thinned out Pines with some hardwoods behind me and a old cut over to my left about 75 yards here in Dale County... GOOD LUCK THIS MORNING

Sitting on the edge of a power line. Lined with oaks....and pouring sweat from the walk in.

Just got settled in and I swear I weigh 20lbs lighter than I started out. I'm sweating like a pig.

Morning Furflyin. Hope you have a great day at work. I'm on the edge of a food plot between two water oaks dropping acorns.

Going back to the buck honey hole this afternoon if the winds hold out. My mom and dad are coming down to try and thin the pig and coyote herd.

Drizzling rain on me this morning. Nice n foggy just how I like a morning hunt.....wish it was cooler though. I'm watching some water oaks in a funnel.

Here! Im 20 ft up a pine with 8 full grown white oaks within sight and few other mixed oaks here n there poppin like machine guns every time the breaze pics up! Weather app says the wind will turn perfect for me within the next hour! Hoping a big boy rolls through soon! Gotta have the wife at the baby doctor for her 28 week checkup at 10:30 so gonna sit long as i can! 3rd trimester here we go!!! Hopefully baby girl will wait till rut ends to make her appearance!

Good luck fellas! I'm gonna take a nap and get up and hit it this evening. My wife is expecting too. We're due Nov 22, which is right in the middle of the rut. Perfect timing if you ask me, I'll take off about a week. She won't even gripe since I'll be there from 11-2 and back by 530.

You say you have a dog coming in? If not, I may could get my lab out there later. She hasn't been classically trained to track, but she has a good nose and has done it before.

Just had 3 slick heads come thru about 50 yards to my left... No shot they decided to not come my way

Just had two more does and a fawn cruising through the white oaks! Still waiting on big boy to come through! Good luck on the revovery, keep us posted!

I'm live from Cahaba. On a good looking food plot near some hardwoods. Lots of fresh tracks in the plot after the rain yesterday and day before. Maybe one will come in

Sitting on the edge on a corn feild watching a corner where there is some buck sign. Saw a couple scrapes and a rub on the way. It ain't full blown in LBL but it should be soon!

Just got set up in my stand behind my house.

It's hot as balls out here. I'm pouring sweat just getting to the stand. It is highly doubtful that I will kill anything but time this afternoon.

Right there with ya, plus I got stuck on the way in and dented the hell out of my quarter panel sliding into a tree. Nevertheless, here I am

Its a slow day for me. Seen 1 doe this morning. Nothing since. I'm in hardwoods now with acorns falling everywhere and 1000's on the ground.

Awwww, you bunch of pusses. I'd much rather be sweating my balls off out here than be at work. Speaking work, hope you're having a good day Furflyin. Finally got set up in the same spot from yesterday evening. Had to play guide for my parents. Got them set up pulling coyote and hog control this evening.

Sitting about 100 yds off of a plot in the hardwoods. Squirrels in a huge white oak behind knocking every acorn out. Sounds like a great deer call to me!

Trying a new location, there's a variety of acorn trees in here dropping, almost like hunting a Chinese buffet for the deer.

Back in the stand for the afternoon! Hoping to see a little action. Only squirrels so far.

Gnats and skeeters are eating me alive but I'm happy. Just saw the first deer while in a stand this year and I can't even shoot him. He's a spike.



And a skwull just started barking behind me.

No deer r movin in this crappy weather, haven't even been yet.

I'm low on moral. I haven't seen a deer on public land since my first hunt out here this year. I planned a trip to a buddy's this weekend thinking it would be fairly chilly, nope, forecast is 50% chance of rain and 75 degrees every day.

I've saw one and it was way out of range.

At least yall are in the woods. stuck here at work thinking how it will be 3 weeks before I can get back to the woods.

Had a buddy from club text me this evening. He saw 10 on a food plot. One good buck and the rest does and yearlings. Shot a doe and is tracking it.

Saw a bunch of squirrels and one hawk, got skunked by the deer.

They says most people spend a 1/3 of there life sittin at redlights , they must not know folks in alabama .

8 hours per day, 365 days per year, everyday of your life is a lot of time at redlights.

a third may have been an exaggeration ... read something on it one time though about the average time of Americans spent at redlights in a lifetime it was a lot .

Didn't see anything on the evening hunt and its quite obvious when the thermacell runs out of fuel. The mosquitos just about drug me out of the stand.
