Kentucky Report

Has anyone hunted Kentucky in the past week? Enroute now and wondering what the deer have been doing. Thanks.

Wade a couple of my new guys are up hunting our lease now. One killed a 4.5 yr old 8 a few days ago and the other guy stuck a short tined 10 pt in the shoulder this AM. No recovery on that deer. Sounds like they are up on their feet to me.

This moon is starting it off from what I'm hearing.

Thanks Mike. Rain just slacked off tonight. Gonna scout tomorrow and see what we see. Hunting Big Rivers. Ran into guy from Jemison today and he said things were slow. Weather doesn't look great for temps, but, gotta take what I can get. Keep us updated and we will do the same.

I'm heading to Crittenden(sp?) county right now. Hunting Monday afternoon till Friday morning. Hope the rut gets started.

Just drove through Kentucky on my way back from Illinois. I saw quite a few deer feeding in the fields, a few crossing the roads and a few on the side of the road that didn't make it , but no big bucks.Good luck on your hunt!

a lot can change in the next week. give it til the 7-10th and it will be prime time I'm thinkin. Unfortunately, I won't be back til the 13th.

We are headed up there next week to Whitetail Heaven in Nicholasville. We heard that the were starting to move but would be kicked in likely by the end of this week. We are hunting next Friday through Wednesday mornin.

I'll be honest, I hope it stays slow for you haha. I won't be back til the 13th.

I don't blame you. Next week the weather should be good. We have a good buck on camera in the greenfield with does at 530 in the morning. I just need one

Don't rush up here this week. Everything is extremely hot and slow. Good news is that hunting in Alabama should be good because every truck up here is from Bama.

Crusing for some shade. Guy at a restaurant said he saw a big buck moving around mid afternoon yesterday. We haven't seen much deer movement at all. I'm in western Kentucky.

I`m headed to Illinois this weekend. I hope the weather improves, it always plays a big part in our success. Rut or no rut. Good luck.
