As of last Thursday, Tom's dog was taking a break for a couple of weeks. She just had a C-section.

Sad to report. Tom came out and dog tracked him twice, he went about 1/4 mile and hit the river. Gonna search the banks now. We all agreed he's dead but may never fine him. Truth is a bitch.

How big was this deer you shot today? Do you have an idea or you just know he was a goo one? We need a story as well please.

He would not be my best ever but best with a bow by far. Not TV show giant big but have seen many a smaller buck killed on TV. Like I said, I have'nt drawn on a buck in years if that helps. I let another bigger than I have ever killed walk right past me watchin him. There were three and as he came in and I got to full draw he did what big bucks do, stops one step short of where I needed him. With my shoulder not completly healed I held over a minute then he turns 180 as he fed giving me a 25 yard quartering away shot at a 55 degree angle. I was 20' up in a lock-on that I have killed 20+ deer from. Arrow went just where I sent it, just behind the last rib stright for the opposit shoulder. He still has my arrow. He bled about 100 yards blowing good blood then hit the thick stuff, crossed and slough. I backed and called for my first ever tracking dog. As they say, thats life in the big city.

Wish I still lived overt there. I'd help u look the river banks over.

I bet when he jumped in the river, his lungs filled up with water and he sank!

This is possible, but in 2-3 days he'll float up if he don't get hung on anything.

I've checked what part if the river I can easily see each day to no avail. Almost thought I smelled something today. The banks and surrounding areas are thick as hair on a cats back. Been too busy to do a complete search. Plan on doing a full walk Saturday. Did talk to the land owner across the river and he and his men are gonna keep an eye out for me. Not gonna bow hunt any more this year. I'm absolutely sick about this. Lord willing I will find him.

Adjonining land owners dogs drug him from the river yesterday. I'm plum tickeled. I know he is at least four but didn't see the junk he had till today. 16 total points. Pic's ain't great.

Judging by the way you are acting here,this is a true trophy.I can really appreciate when someone kills a deer,and is this happy about it no matter the size,but this is a true trophy,and anyone on this site would be happy to shoot a buck of this caliber.I have said it once,and will again congrats on your trophy brother....hope you can repeat many times over!!!
