Chill X - 04/07/15 08:17 PM

I finally bit the bullet and bought a black Chill X with blue accents this last weekend. I am just getting into shooting tournaments mostly because of my son and decided to purchase the Chill because of the high number of folks that were shooting it at the last ASA shoot. I currently have a bow for hunting but am thinking about using this bow to shoot 3d as well as to hunt with. The bow is not set up yet and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a great rest and sight combination that would serve me equally well for tournaments or 3d? I have only been shooting for about eight months now so I do not have a lot of personal experience with all of the different equipment options that are available. To be honest I beleive there are too many options to choose from at times. Thanks for any suggestions or ideas that you may have.

I have the exact same bow & I really like it. Mine is all black with blue accents, flo. orange Vaportrails string & cable. Limbdriver Micro Elite rest and HHA sight ( the one with the dial .019 pin)

I machined that extension for the sight, moved it out 4 inches.
I also shoot the 75% Rock Mods. The bow is realls fast with those mods.

If it's going to be a strictly tournament rig, go with a Bodoodle Pro Lite II rest. If not, go with a QAD. The type of sight will depend on whether or not you choose to shoot one of the hunter or open classes. If you shoot a hunter class and need a fixed pin sight, go with a Spot Hogg Hunter Hoggit. If you shoot an open class and need a moveable sight, go with a CBE Vertex 3D with a CBE scope housing.

Sharp looking bow, I love the strings. Mine is showing that it arrives today so I'm excited to get my hands on it. I appreciate the responses on choosing the sight and rest. I will look those up today.
