What is Your Largest Alabama Largemouth Bass?

I have caught 2 that weighed 8 1/2lbs.

One I caught in Hartford Lake in Hartford Alabama
One I caught in Barbour Creek on Lake Eufaula.

I did hook a larger fish in Hartford Lake the same day as I caught the one I mentioned above, but it just wasn't my day and it was hers.

I caught a 7 and a 9 in the same day on lake LU on the West Alabama Campus in about 2002. My buddy boog caught a 8 pounder the same day. I dont know what it was , it was a special day. I fished that lake 200 other days while I was in school and never caught anything like that.

this is a cell phone pic of an old picture of me holding a 10-2. Probably 15 years ago. I don't count it because it came out of a private pond. It was released so it probably died.

7 lbs. I caught an 8 lb.er at Kentucky Lake.

Pile of fish over 10 out of the state lake at Millry. Best fish was 12-9 and was the lake record for a while. All released. Someone caught one that was 14-8 or 14-12 to beat mine if I remember correctly. Dont know how it is now but that place was loaded with big fish back in the mid to late 90's. Havent fished it since 97 or 98. Brooks Hinds just SE of Brewton right on the FL line is good to and still is. Tons of 5-9 lb fish. Caught of bunch in there from 9-11.6. Lake record was 14+ a couple years ago and they say they've shocked fish in there pushing 17.

somewhere around seven pounds on a ten pound frame. that fish had just spawned out. to give you an idea, we were night fishing and i throat hooked it with a worm, i had it lipped with one hand, had a led flashlight in my mouth so i could see where the hook was, my other hand was inside its mouth and i could still see the hook with my whole hand in its mouth.

Free-range or farm pond?

Never put scales on her. We have caught a few around this size the last five years or so. Sonner or later I will get that one that ghoes to the wall.

My biggest in a lake is 7 out of Eufaula and I caught one about 9 pounds in a big farm pond

Caught an 8lb and 9lb about 5 casts apart kayak fishing on Lake in Hoover. Caught 7.5 in exact same spot one year to the day later.

7.3 on the Alabama River @ Millers Ferry on a war eagle spinner bait.

8.6 out of a pond on a texas rigged crawfish.

Right at 8 lbs in a farm pond and that was several years ago. I let her go. Just under 7 lbs in a wild, free range creek one time. That one's more special.

7.3lb large mouth, but I have a 6.5 bronze on the wall, both Tenn. River Fish-West Side.

10.5 private lake march 7 2005. Got her to taxidermist 3 days later- frozen. Tokd me it lost a couple pounds to freezing, plus had dumped all eggs.

Private farm pond: 10lbs 4oz then 4 days later I caught a 9lb 8oz.

Alabama river: 8lbs 5oz

Lay lake: 7lbs 3oz

10 lb 2oz, 2 acre farm pond, 9 lb flat, 5 acre farm pond, 8 lb 9 oz, 16 acre farm pond, (I lost one at the boat that same day that had to be 12 lbs.)

My largest on public water was 8 lb 3 oz on lake Frank Jackson in opp., Then a 6 lb 6 oz. on Lake Guntersville.

I think all of these were caught within about 5 years of each other. I fished hard for several years when I was in college, since then I really haven't fished freshwater much at all.

10 pounds even but it was out of a bass lake.
