Epic Tarpon Day at Okaloosa Island Pier

I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a day like this and I’ve been tarpon fishing for almost 50 years. We estimated between 200-250 hung yesterday morning. I caught three and hung seven. They said late yesterday afternoon was just as good! Lots of big tiger sharks swimming around if you are in the area and want to sight see.

Peach is the man when it comes to tarpon fishing. I spent a morning with him a few days ago. The fish didn’t cooperate that day but we saw plenty and he taught me enough to get after them myself. Thanks again!

we are thinking about going to OB either this week or next and try our hand at tarpon fishing, got any tips?

If pier fishing, when you get to the GSPP, I'd recommend keep heading east another hour or so. Fishing at GSPP is all but dead
