Just wondering how easy or hard it is to get bait (shad) there right now?

Easy on the upper end this time of year. Trickier until you get down river to some calmer water.

There are the areas I would hunt for yellowtail and gizzards.

That would be my first stop. You can usually see one flip and throw on that spot and load the livewell. I don't have the fancy electronics to see off to the side.
