I'm taking Friday off and going crappie fishing on Guntersvillle. I need you out there so I can have someone to potlick off of! grin

Seriously, if you want to get out bring the boat and join us. Right now, I'm thinking of launching at Mink Creek. Not sure with all this water being dumped into the lake.

I thought this too but I have caught about 75 this week and all have been on brush in about 8 ft of water. Put a cork at 4 or 5 feet to get them to bite.

Thanks everyone. I'm just happy to get out and be on the water. 85 on Friday with wind from the West at 10mph. BTW my invitation was for anyone, not just Fur.

Shows you what I know. Neely sucked a big fatty today. There was a group of 5 boats of guys that met up this morning and we all fished and communicated between each other via text. Nobody even had a decent day. We put 3 crappie in the boat.

Caught 50 more the last 2 days and all are near creek channels on brush in 6-12 ft

We found some fish yesterday in about the same locations you described, but they wouldn't bite anything.

Thatโ€™s what I was seeing last week also. Seems strange with temps what they are that they have not moved up shallower.

I'm glad it wasn't just me. We caught 4 crappie, none over 10". Spoke to several others and they weren't having much luck, including the one I met using his Livescope. We caught the most fish right there in Mink Creek. My boat couldn't fit underneath the bridge tunnel. So we spot locked just outside the entrance and caught yellow bass, sand bass, and large mouth. My guess is bait fish being flushed through the tunnel made for a good ambush point. I'll be glad when G Dam quits releasing so much water so I can get back to catching whisker kitties.
