Anyone have a Nitro Z17? - 12/09/19 08:39 PM
If so how have you liked it? Im looking to upgrade from my Tracker 175 soon and I am looking at the Z17 and Tracker 190
I really like my aluminum for its durability but it also has it downfalls....

I looked at some when I was shopping. Nice boats, but I was wanting at least 18' or more. What are the downfalls of having an aluminum boat? I just pulled the trigger on a Lund.

Id stay with aluminum. durability, ease of maintenance, cost, simplicity, and maneuverability on trailer are all great assets of aluminum boats. Just my personal preference.

Anyone that has fished from a tin boat knows that the wind is a major downfall. They get blown around easily.

The ride is better in fiberglass as well.
I have a 2014 Nitro Z7. FYI

You can get a nice aluminum boat if you are willing to spend $35k-$40k for a new one... Im not willing nor do I need something like that... I want to stay in the mid twenties for my next purchase but Im really torn on which way to go.

Neighbor has a Z17 with a 115 Mercury (I think), that they bought, new, about a year ago. I haven't ridden in it or fished out of it yet, but he likes it so far.

This I knew. Mine will have a spot lock on it before March.
