My bass boat has not been out since 4th July week and ain't until October.

I know a place where the bass and bluegills are huge and they will chase a lure down too.... all I need is some cooler weather.

I got you beat Drake, I havent been out since June.. however I do plan on getting out saturday morning, but ill be back in before lunch.

Yall missing some fine fishing. Have won several in a row on lay lately. The fish have moved back shallow and feeding like its fall. Guess the shorter days trigger it.

Water temps are 10-12 degrees cooler than they were a month ago (I saw 80.1 at Wedowee last week at daylight), shad are shallow and at/near the backs of creeks and pockets. Had a memory on my Facebook from yesterday last year, holding two 5 pounders from Guntersville (frog fishing) and I was wearing a hoodie. I think right now the temps are messing more with our minds than they are the fish.

Ben, you fish the coosa right? whats the water temp hovering around?

I went last Friday to Guntersville and stayed from 6 AM to 2:30 PM. It was hot but I enjoyed it. Didn't catch near the fish that I had been, so I was really trying to find them and just lost track of time. The ramp was not too crowded, so I like when it's too hot for others

mine hasn't seen water since 1st weekend in june.

I hope to go Saturday. Even if I have to be off the water by 11am.

Throwing the boat in the water this evening.. mainly to run the motor to see if the bugs are worked out.. but plan to fish a hour or 2..

Fur, I got to the sipsey around 6:00am last friday, I was actually cold, wishing I had worn a long sleeve shirt. It was shortlived though. Around 9:00 the sun finally hit my back and a few minutes later, I was sweating. Nice feeling to be cold this time of year though.

Went to Wedowee a few days ago, fished daylight till about 11. Caught 13 spots & a lm junk fishing. I was hoping to get on some schooling fish but they weren't showing themselves.

I've had two very different trips down there just a few days apart... last Sunday morning we skipped church and fished the lower end below Fox Creek from daylight till about 1:00, they were shallow way off the main river and would smoke a buzzbait. Wasn't much size, but caught probably 20+ spots in the 1.5 to 2.5 range, and one really good largemouth.
I put in at Fosters last Friday morning and only fished about 3 hours, it was a lot different. NO shad shallow, wasted the first two hours running the banks power fishing, finally wound up way down below Mad Indian and caught a handful of small spots deep on a dropshot out near the main river. Besides being 10 miles up the lake, the water temps and everything seemed the same.

Y’all can lay up in the AC if y’all want to. I’ve been catching a several fish and having a ball.
