Lots of folks are using the Garmin striker 4plus. It’s got DI and GPS for $180. They hook them to the little rechargeable 12v sealed batteries.

I'm surprised Perch hasn't chimed in yet.

Ive got a striker4 ill sell cheap if you want to try it. It is not the di. It was $109.00 new. Ill sell it for $40.00/ you pay shipping or come get it. The transducer will not go in a scupper hole. You will need a transducer mount, wouldnt be hard at all to make one. Works fine, upgraded a while back.

I have a Helix 5. You should also consider a Lowrance Hook 2 #5. They just improved the mapping that is already loaded and they are a little less expensive than Hummingbird. Plus Lowrance makes a scupper hole mount. You just need to decide how many features you want. Plotting, GPS, Down image, side image. You should be able to get everything except side imaging for around $300 on a 5. The big price increase is if you add side imaging.
