2 stroke idle time?

I jug fish a good bit, and when I do, I idle around a lot.

Does it hurt a 2 stroke to run a idle or low rpms for extended periods?

Not a bit. Some will "load up" a little while idling, but will quickly clean out when you jump up on plane.

Keep some spare plugs in the boat. If I idle very much in mine the plugs are shot

Mines a Yamaha. It’s oil injected, so maybe it doesn’t load up with oil at lower rpms. When/If I ever replace it, I’ll get a Yamaha F70.
