Trolling motor pedal position

Need a little advise. I have a minn Kota Maxxum and I can’t for the life of me figure out how to get the head pointed straight when the pedal sits flat. Anyone familiar with how to adjust?

Pop top cap off, pull top gear out, line up motor head straight and pedal level, reinstall top gear, replace cap. 10min tops

You're welcome. There's a couple videos on YouTube that will explain it even better. You might have to adjust the tension on the cable also.

If the gear is stripped out you can put a layer of electrical tape to it before reinstalling. That will make it less likely to get out of alignment.
