IDOT - 12/15/18 04:41 PM

Now that you've come into the light, here's what you're casting for....

This isn't internet lore, this is the legitimate new world record Black Crappie, caught last year in TN. It was caught in a farm pond, which to me makes it less of an accomplishment, because they can be managed for trophy status easier, but none the less it's a monster. That's not sour grapes on my part. If I'd caught the fish, I'd still be proud to be a world record holder. I've also read that the man who caught it is a great guy. He seems like it in the video.

Oh and you're gonna need a full blown crappie boat. Here's a local one for sale on Weiss lake. It comes with er'thang to fish with, all you need is a truck to pull it with and a fishing license. I have seen this boat in person. It's a bad dude.

I don't technically count Spots or Smallies as Ditch Pickles. I leave that designation for LM bass.

If the rain is gone I believe I'll go down to the dam in the morning and try it for a little while.

Big fish in a pond is just hunting free range in the big pen, you ask me.
