After I posted this I call my buddy Tim Chandler and he said the bite was awful on Smith right now. Temp changes must have a lot to do with it. I know for a fact that I went swimming last year this time and the water was a good 15 degrees warmer.

Shouldn't they be spawning big time on Smith presently. Bite always gets youghnduring the major spawning month from what I have seen

It has been feast or famine here lately for me. I can go one day and have 15-17# and go the next and not catch a limit. Very inconsistent for me right now and I have talked to a few other guys that said the same thing. If I was fishing the airport tournament this weekend I would put all my rods up except a spinning reel and throw a shakey head all day every cast
