Pulled the trigger yesterday

Ordered a Helix 9 with all the bells and whistles. Now I just need a couple of decent weekends to get the boat in shape.

For those of you installing your first huge depth finder at the console, don't do like I did and go out without knowing how to dim the lights on the screen. I drove back upriver, below the dam, night blinded by my Helix the first time I fished til after dark.

Press the power button quickly, do not hold, to access the brightness.

I put a helix 10 mega up front and at console. Those mega units are light years ahead of the Gen 1s I had on my old boat.
