You know what, there was a TON of activity on BBC when this happened. Was there ever a final determination as to what actually broke first?

Like I said in the previous thread on this before...dude caught the keel in the wake from that other boat and it hooked on him. His steering might have broken as a result of him hooking, but the steering breaking isn't what caused it.

Whatever broke/not break, that was a hell of a right hook! shocked

That was a new boat, 99% sure it had hydraulic and that doesn't just break like the old cables. That was poor boat handling. I'd bet e got the wheel jerked out of his hands. Both the latest accidents involved jumping another boats wake. This one is a late model Allison.

No, not an Allison. I think it may have been an older Bullet?

Excuse me, Legend. Old dominator.

Looks like this one with decals removed. Yep, probably a Legend. A pop off .

You were actually kinda right the first time, too. The Legend Dominators, like the Blazers, were splashed from Bullets.

I'm not sure that's a Dominator, though. Dominators that I've seen looked exactly like a bullet. The top cap on that boat does not resemble a Bullet 20XD (the exact boat that was splashed by Legend) at all.

Legend Dominators were splashed from Bullets. There aren't many Allison splashes that have survived Darris' patent protections. There was a guy out of Fairhope or somewhere down that way that splashed a few Allisons under the name of Patriot, and Darris showed up with a team of attorneys and had all the boats, as well as the molds, smashed to hell and back. I still know where two of them are.

I think the Allison's ( Darrius and Wife) are supposed to be here October 21st for the Allison Reunion Terry Gibbs is putting on. He was here last year and man what a HELL OF A TIME!

2 things that I notice here. Thank god the driver had the kill switch on and it's pretty bad that none of the other boats stopped to help. If I see two guys swimming in the water first thing in the morning with life jackets deployed I believe I would stop and make sure everything was ok

Yeah, in Texas they would have warrants in their names. It's unlawful not to stop and render aid. It should be a law in every state.

It does not show it but there were two boats that did stop according to someone close to the situation when it happened. Large BBC thread on it.
