I am coming up for a wedding the first weekend in May. The wedding is in Madison but was thinking about dragging the boat up so when GF is doing bridesmaid stuff I can get some fishing in. What is the nearest boat ramp to Madison/Huntsville? Also is my 18ft Bass Tracker going to be blown all over the pond? Any info would be appreciated.

You could put in at Triana.

Arrowhead Landing is closest to Madison. Its on the refuge on Limestone Creek. You get lucky you might see an gator. Decatur is not that far. Never had any trouble launching at Arrowhead though as long as the water is up and its up a bunch this week.

Triana is just as close and is a concrete ramp. Triana creek is there, cotaco cr is just across river. Plenty of spots (the fish kind), out in main river.

Is the Triana ramp on the Madison side of the river or do I need to cross the bridge?
