Pomegranate Tree in Huntsville? - 03/16/23 09:03 PM
Im gonna plant a Pomegranate Tree. Anyone ever grow one? According to the box it claims that north Alabama is warm enough. I don't really believe it but I'm stubborn.

We've got several at our church in Montgomery. I haven't looked at them since the big freeze to see if they've made it

My mother has one that produces every year. I saved some seed to try to start this year. I need to get started on them.

They probably grow well in Arizona.

I got that pomegranate tree at Home Depot or Lowe's. In the boxes with the bulbs and strawberry, black berry sprouts. I'm pretty sure it was Home Depot. Both stores are side by side so I can't remember which.
I will plant it and hope for the best. Thanks everyone

I planted several from a guys tree in Greensborough, so I know they’ll grow there, but they died back every year here in NW Bama. Never would grow into a tree because of this. I would say no In Huntsville for sure.
