pot planting fall veggies

I want to plant some fall vegies in pots in my garage. My question is what kind of light to put them under

My father always planted a fall garden. He would plant greens around this time and they would make until frost. I am going to plant some kale in pots this fall and see how that works. I'm thinking as much sun as they can get, depending on the veggie. I'm loving Kale because it doesn't cause kidney stones like Spinach, and it has more nutrients that many other greens. I love frying small chunks of bacon in a tall pot, then throwing in the greens till they are tender. Yum!
