Haven’t tilled yet, garden area covered in weeds mostly broadleaf. How long after I spray is safe to till and plant (if at all)?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong. 2-4D is a contact killer and if you spray now to kill it. By the time it's dead and ready to till you will be good to go. I spray a gly/2-4D mix to burn down the garden and also do it in the rice fields.

You'll be good about a year from now.

I know there are some types of hybrid watermelons you cant plant on ground thats had 24d on it in the past 7yrs. Could be other stuff that dont like it. You might want to check into that before you mess up your garden spot.

I would stick to a glyphosate generic instead.

cut the weeds down then till it when they start coming back up till it again it's a little more work than spraying but itll get the same result without putting weed killer in the soil

24d is an amine salt and will stay in your soil for awhile

It'll just add a lil flavor to the 'maters and cukes is all.

A year or two after you spray it, when you can grow tomatoes and cukes again.

Seems like a lot of different opinions in here, but this one is more in line with what most do. 2,4-d breaks down in a matter of days in even marginal soil. 30 days after spraying shouldn’t have any effect on new plantings.

Gotta be some truth in here somewhere, but where is the question??????
