Plant a whole, raw egg under your tomato plants...throw in a banana peel if you have them. Crushed eggshells around the plants help ward off slugs and snails. Epsom salt is good for them. Check them closely for hornworms regularly!...hornworms can strip an entire plant overnight and they can be hard to spot. A blacklight at night is a good way to find them, iirc, otherwise, if you're seeing damage and caterpillar poop, they're there, you just have to look close!
