Looking good! Amazing how that corn can stand back up. We've had that happen before.
I've had to rethink things...got fungal wilt in my raised bed of tomato plants...they were BEAUTIFUL and loaded with tomatoes and it made me sick to pull them but there was no hope or cure, so no question about getting rid of them.
Still have 18 plants in the in ground garden that look marvelous and are also loaded, just a wee bit behind those that were in my raised bed. I picked my first batch of pole beans, second batch of radishes and some onions today. Have been pulling zucchini for about a week and have several types of pepper plants with peppers on the vine, just not ready yet.
Your plants look great!!

Thanks Maggie. Hate to hear that about your tomato plants. where the plants you had to pull heirlooms ? basicly all the heirloom tomatoes I've planted where killed by blight.

They were Better Boy and Bonnie Originals. I knew better than to put tomatoes in that bed again this year. Strictly my fault for not rotating.

Between a goat that jumps out of his cage, and bugs that I can’t control I’ve just about given up on gardening. Tilled, limed, put out pre emergent this year in preparation and didn’t even plant it. Oh I can’t grow peaches, or apples either.

Re: 2018 Garden - 06/06/18 11:26 AM
After a bone dry April and early May, I waited until the weekend before Memorial day to do anything with my garden. I had started corn and watermelons in containers, so they are a little further along than my peas and sweet potatoes. I'm a solid 3 weeks behind where I'd like to be, but maybe something good will happen for the rest of the spring and summer.

I nailed 530 ft of hardwood today and came home to start picking corn. Not much of a yield from corn that was blown over by Alberto.

Nice, 1 if my maters has blight and it looks like it’s spreading to others and i harvested 13 tomato horn worms yesterday. Squash and peppers are doing decent though.

Nice. We are getting plenty of squash and tomatoes are starting to turn color. Can't keep up with my cucumbers but still less fruit than vines.
