Every year we have at least two Swallow Tail Kite birds that hang around the area. Beautiful birds. I don't think they go inland very far, I've never seen them in south Bama.

Never seen one. Googled them and they are gorgeous.
As many years as we have had them around, I've never seen one on the ground or in a tree. Nor have I seen one dart or dive like they were chasing something to eat. They just float along like a drone or something. I didn't know they ate lizards, small mammals and such till I read the article.

They have learned to come around when I'm bushhogging. Sweet to watch them catch grasshoppers. I think mine are Mississippi Kiites though. Suckers were dive bombing me a couple of years ago. They were coming within 40 feet of the tractor.
