If you find that the wire heat shield on your smoker is bent, and you need to push it towards the smoker chamber to straighten it up, do so when the smoker is not lit and hot. You might have a burn on your hand if you do so when it's hot, that looks like this:

That was extra crispy skin... Made a nice blister and then I popped it while eating supper and royally PO'd my wife. She called me a 12 year old. LOL
