My two chirrens

Posted By: johnmcgowan

My two chirrens - 02/15/21 07:09 PM

These 2 boys of mine are the ultimate in lap/nap dogs. They are brothers but from 2 different litters a year apart with the same parents but with totally different personalities, just like us I guess.. Otis Ann on the top left is 5 and brother Brody is 4. Brody was born deaf but I have taught him several different sign language commands. It took a little patience on my part learning how to communicate with a deaf dog but he has adjusted well and can fall asleep in a moments notice, lol. Otis Ann is very smart and knows just what you are saying, even if the wife and I are having a conversation. I just wanted to share a picture with yall.

BigEd, thank you, that was exactly what I needed. It has been a while since I posted any pictures here and wasn't having much luck doing so. Appreciate that !!

Also, the deaf one on the right can trail and sniff something in the yard like Ive never seen a bulldog do. They do have shorter snouts as you can see and that doesnt help them in the sniffing department one bit. It may have to do with his other senses are sharper since he's deaf, I dunno ?

Good looking dogs. It amazes me how smart some dogs are. Always good to have a lap dog when its this cold outside.

Good looking dogs. We had a Boston Terrier once and she was a great pet and lap dog.

Thanks Night. Agree with you. These have been the best companions anyone could hope for. They greet me when I get home in the evening and are so hyped up for about 10 minutes, running around like crazy that I'm home for the day. In the morning when I leave for work , they are looking out the glass front door watching as I wave goodbye to them. thumbup

Good looking pups. We love a Boston. I found this one in bad shape on the side of the road. She’s had it made ever since.

Thanks carter! Agree with you, Bostons cant be beat when it comes to their companionship and love they always want to give us. And you have a great looking gal there too ! Thanks for helping her when she was in bad shape. Do you think she was lost or did someone just dump her out on side of the road? If the latter is the case, you sure did the right thing!! thumbup

This is her the day I found her. Figured she was dumped. Heart worm positive and Ehrlichia from ticks but she’s good now. I’ll take a house full since they are so much fun.

Oh my goodness, look at her. She looked so sad. I see that she had cherry eye issues too. You are to commended and have done a very good deed in getting her back healthy again!
And yes, they are fun to have around. My two are a laugh a minute with all their shenanigans.
Thanks for sharing about her. What's her name?

Re: My two chirrens - 02/27/21 12:23 AM

My wife named her after her aunt who had Boston’s Mary Margaret is her name and she has it made is an understatement. Thanks for the compliments. We actually do a lot of dog rescues. We have 4 and only one is my hunting dog which is usually the only one that’s trouble. Have one my wife stole from a crack dealer. We nicknamed her crack dog. Probably be looking for another recuse Boston when crack dog is gone.

Hate to hear that. Very devastating and tragic.

John I’m assuming y’all get all those smiles and people pointing at your pups. For swine reason folks seem to like seeing a Boston.

Re: My two chirrens - 02/28/21 09:36 PM

Yes sir. They both love love love to ride in my truck. When I grab my keys off the microwave, Otis can be on the other side of the house but hears that and comes running and does zoomies all crazy like. He then knows he's going somewhere. Gail my wife can be on the couch and tell Him (Otis ) that "she has a secret" and he looks at me then goes berserk barking and carrying on getting ready to go wherever. He is very smart and knows exactly what we are saying. They love to ride in shopping carts too like at Lowes and before they got banned at the Wal-Marks, lol

Bunch of fine looking pups, we just added a pup and “whoowe “ it’s a chore. Just got her house trained and could not be happier if I had won the lottery.

where did you get your chirrens? obviously, someone who breeds well-conformed pups ...

Re: My two chirrens - 03/04/21 07:18 PM

Yes sir, the whole family of Boston's were there on premises, the mom, aunt, the grandmaw who was 18 years old but looked in pretty bad shape with hardly any hair left. She did not run a puppy mill, she just liked her Bostons. The dad and his brother were there too. My deaf one Brody looks identical to his dad named Junior. I got them from a lady in Hubbertville which is in Fayette Count. I think she got the mom to mine fixed so she no longer has any breeding females that I know of.
