Same bunch of asshats that tried to tell German breeders what qualified as a Malinois. AKC has helped to ruin several breeds by pushing physical attributes over everything else, including soundness.

I have a silver. Only because that's what my wife wanted. When we registered him we had to do so as a chocolate.
