I think he was probably 5 in 2018. Lot of brisket showing, neck blends into shoulders, front end looks heavier than back, starting to get that short-legged look. I'd say now he's 7 and at his prime. Great looking buck.

Great looking mature buck. I would agree with 4 back in 2018. I could also see possibly 5 back then because now he looks sort of saggy with belly and really large brisket in that last pic. Post up a pic of him once he gets a full belly of acorns these next few weeks and some chance to get the testosterone flowing again.
Shoot him!

Very nice. We had a stud 8 on cam a few years ago, but none of us (or surrounding clubs) killed him 😩

Time for some lead poisoning 👍
You've got yourself a couple of fine bucks there. Good luck getting set up on them.

If only we could see more pics like this because it really shows what deer in alabama are capable of with some real age on them. Ive seen it time after time on our place what bucks are capable of at 6 and 7 years old but it takes sacrifice and most aren't willing to do it. Passing a deer for years and killing a him at 6 or 7 plus years old is a true test of a hunter in my opinion no mater what his rack looks like. I would be 10 times more impressed if I saw a spike with a long story killed at 7 then a 160 4 year old.
