The trial/test began today

The trial/test began today - 08/07/19 02:33 AM

Grabbed a Moultrie XV7000i for basically $29. My beaver bounty and a $50 rebate did that lol. I intercepted it at UPS at 0630 this morning and came home to get it going... Will see if it's legit or a bust.

Here's a BIG plus, 3 year warranty instead of the normal 2. Hope not to use it

Hiked in to a spot, tested signal, good to go. Decided to hit the river valley in the timber knowing signal would suck. 3 miles layer back to the first spot haha.

Re: The trial/test began today - 08/07/19 02:47 AM

I have it set to:
1 photo
10 second delay

time lapse 6-9 a.m.
7-9 p.m
pic every 15min

PIC setting to medium, I think that was the choice name anyway...

I saw a few cows in this spot, a dink bull, and a stud 5x5 last year. Prolly won't get a lot of pics, hoping for a couple good'uns though in the next couple weeks. I lowered the camera few a little after this test pic.

Re: The trial/test began today - 08/08/19 03:24 AM

Still works haha. My 2nd set of pics came, nothing cool. Just the time lapse photos. This will be a low photo area, grass prolly taller than a deer, definitely taller than a yote.
still digging the fact the warranty is extended 1 yr...

On a side note, any changes made electronically to cam do not update with camera until the next time the modem communicates.

Had 2 photos that weren't from the time lapse. I wanted the time lapse to get an idea of how often the elk are in this corner of the clear cut. Finally got one

Didn't want the data used up so, if I want the good pics I gotta go to settings to get it. Keep'n it simple unless I need details. The elk at 1130ish is about 100yds out. Once I see antlers, I'll get the good pic to see how good it really is

Still running fine. Battery still at 100% but, I don't have the cam sitting over a pile of corn lol.

Pretty good pics. What does the data cost and what company does it run on.

Runs on Verizon and ATT. Does not tie into any existing contracts and is month to month.

All's well so far. The cam is sending pics to the app so, can't complain. The time lapse mode is most productive in the clear cut. The battery is at 87% at this time.

Impressive that it picked up that elk so far out.

Re: The trial/test began today - 09/22/19 03:45 AM

It's getting their pics because I have it taking motion detected pics as well as time lapse photos a specific hours of the day, every 15 minutes.
The time lapse photos are very beneficial as far as knowing what's around
