Damned squirrels got another camera...

At least this time they picked one of my cheap cameras that I picked up on clearance from Walmart... of course this one was full of water when I got to it yesterday. What do you guys do to stop squirrels from chewing on them?

I had a coyote chew one of mine up back in deer season. I noticed that there were a bunch of odd looking scratches and gouges on the bottom half of it. Sure enough I had a pic of a coyote walking towards it and then a minute later a closeup of just a forehead and ears.

You can buy circuit breaker boxes and yank out the circuit breakers. Trim the box to your liking with a dremmel tool. Wala, an $8 bear box for ya cam

trick I learned from roofing squirrels wont chew on anything spraypainted. squirrels will chew up a lead pipe boot in a minute, if you spray paint it they leave it alone for some reason.

It would probably kill the tree too.

Not quite true, I paint my treestands every year and they will chew on the aluminum ones that were freshly painted.

Looks like you need to start shooting some tree rats to me. Metal lockbox should do the trick.

I run cameras in 4 counties and never had a single squirrel issue.. (Hope I didn’t just jinx myself)

After reading the news lately I think i may have an idea of what kind of squirrel got a hold of your camera.

Left some boots in a shooting house one time and the little buggers got in and shredded them. They also chewed a hole in a water bottle and drank it all.

Wonder if it's a type of paint thing..??

If there is a type they don't like I will use it just to save a feeder they have declared war on.
