Matt, that deer is at least five years old, I'd put money on six.

That's kinda my thoughts. Head gear not worth a flip but that doesn't matter.

Body length, sagging belly, I'd say he's a 5 year old

Deer is definitely 5yrs maybe 6. Is this Limestone county corn? We've got some really nice corn around here. Too bad the deer don't eat cotton! The land I hunt is planted in cotton this year and it's over 5 feet tall in places! We've definitely had plenty of rain around here.

Don't be fooled. Deer eat the piss out of cotton. Ride on a sprayer going through this cotton. Was spraying in elkmont few weeks back. My operator ran deer out all day long.

Farmers by our lease were having a rough go at it with keeping the deer out of their cotton fields; especially if it's young plants. Says he has a tougher time with deer eating cotton than he does peanuts or corn

They eat the young terminals and blooms. And that's not good!

He's 5 at least, possibly 6. Deer will eat the heck out of cotton. Lot of texas ranches actually feed cotton seed (by product). It takes a while of mixing it with corn or some other attractant, to get them used to it and on it, but I've heard it is ridiculously high in protein (20+% crude protein).

At least 4.5. After that, honestly, my field judging skills goes out the window. Definitely on the hit list if it were my place

Yep he'll look like a Brahma bull come November.

And deer eat the hell outta cotton. I'm on a depredation permit for a cotton farmer and he Almost lost a whole 30acre field this year cause it got too wet to get back there to spray with soap or shoot it

So if you have a cotton field and bean field that join one another, from my experience over the years the deer will destroy the beans before ever looking at the cotton and currently the situation on the land I hunt in Elkmont. Lucky for me the land owner planted a corner of the 150 acres of cotton and beans in about 2 acres of corn and also circled the pivot head that I use as a blind in standing corn. He's trying to help a brother out!
