Anyone know how to keep deer out of a hog trap smh

try to let it out at night, it will beat itself to death when you approach.

We got her out. She seemed ok but a little tired. We are putting up the trap for now. The next thing we would probably catch is a bear and we don't want that lol.

Leave a 6'"-12" ledge around the top and cut the remainder out. Deer can jump out, bears can climb out, hogs cannot get over it, though.

I saw a show on the outdoor channel where a trapper soaked the corn in water before he put it out. He said that deer don't like soured corn.
