Mature 8 point - 01/10/17 10:41 PM

Finally got a mature buck on the trail camera. The body is twice the size of other bucks on the property. So far he only moves at night but the rut kicks in toward the end of January in this area. Hopefully we can meet up during the day before the season ends.

Don't you know fence lines are the best places to hunt. Especially if you can see the other side.

Man, that buck is a toad for sure! I hope you've got a 4-wheeler or a John Deere tractor with a bucket to get him out once you kill him!

any of you boys worried about that fence consider it may not be the property line??

The property line is the creek about 20 yards past the old pasture fence. The camera is placed in the pasture because a good trail is between the creek and fence and can be checked without crossing the trail. Don't know about the eye but the neck is scared up with battle scars in a side photo.

i think that if the eye doesn't reflect it means they are blind in that eye i could be wrong though

I had pics of a deer some years ago that showed that same issue with his eye. Figured he was blind in it from fighting, that was why it glowed when the light hit it.
