260 modified case

Im still looking for a Hornady 260 modified case. They are over due at Midwayusa and every were else I can find. They usually run from 6 to 12 dollars. If someone can find me 1, I am willing to give that person a 20 dollar reward!

I've made my own before. Take a case fired in my gun, drill and tap. The best part is the modified cases are I believe to SAAMI specs where home made ones are to my rifle's specs. 5/16x36 tap if I remember correctly. I'll keep my eye out for you in Mississippi.

Thanks. Its very hard to find. Also hard to find is 6.5x284 modified case.

As popular as the 6.5s have become the last couple of years you figure Hornady would be cranking them out. I had problems finding a modified case for my 264 Winnie last year.

I drilled and tapped my own case for a 7 STW. With the cost only being about $5 for a Hornady one, not worth the trouble unless you can't find one.

I honestly care more about TIME than money. I just really dont want to fool with it. I could drive to my gunsmith and have one made, but would rather pay a REWARD for a 260 modified case.

I was looking around the web and could not find any in stock, however, you can send hornady your brass and they will modify them for you. I read in another forum that it is 15 dollars to have 2 pieces of your brass converted.

Thanks, called Hornady before, they said they were" Behind and working to get these out to retailers". They will only make you one IF yours is not currently made by them. They make a 260 it just backordered. Thanks for you help though.

FOUND THEM!!!! GUNSTOP RELOADING SUPPLIES. Great little place in Minn. ( 1 952 474 0211) . They had 260 and 6.5x284 hornady modified cases!! I am so happy!!!!! Thanks to everyone that responed to this post! I searched over 20 places online for the 260 modified case. Now that I have a 6.5x284 I can order and rebarrel my match gun.
