.308 brass question - 02/28/21 01:42 AM

A friend of mine went by our local range this week and brought me 100 brass.
Half were old military with just some letter markings. Didnt say .308.
The rest were marked "ppu .308. and ADI .308. which i haven't ever had any experience with.
So what is the quality? Are they standard or of military type?
The primers dont appear to be crimped in like military ones. And?
What about case capacity. My book says use less powder for military.
And use a special tool to remove primers.

Ppu is decent brass on par with remington.adi is australia stuff I believe no experience with it but I'm sure it's fine.
Far as case capacity and brass quality just reduce charge and work your way up as most manuals tell you to

ADI is Australian Defense Industries. Its boxer primed and has a decent reputation. never have used (or even seen any of it) though. PPU is commercial, ADI is military. As already stated, start low and work your way up.
