410 reloads?

410 reloads? - 06/25/18 02:55 PM

For Father’s Day my wife and kids got me a mossberg shockwave in 410. That little gun is a lot of fun to shoot but as many of you know, 410 shells are expensive. I thought about reloading some to save a little money and add to the fun of it. I’ve reloaded rifle cartridges but no shotgun shells. What would y’all recommend to get me started?

Just roll crimp them. If you reload for your rifle already, then you should already have scales, dippers, and such. The only thing you would have to buy is a roll crimper that costs $20 or so, along with the components. I'm assuming you already have a drill press; every man should own a drill press.

Loading .410 is one of the few times that handloading can actually save you some money. Holler at me if I can help.
