I know it's a long shot but does anyone have and recipes for 240g LSWC bullets and Lil Gun powder? I can find loading data for the Lil Gun with a 240g jacketed bullet but not for the lead bullet. Would I be safe loading the lead and backing off the powder charge?

CAM using my secret handloader mutant powers i see 16.8-17.0 grains on 240 LSWC's.Also see complaints of really heated up cylinders&barrells. That ain't good at all not even a little bit.Either stick with Jacketed bullets or investigate this lead bullet heat issue before loading Lil in your .44.

I would not use jacketed data for cast bullets.

Thanks guy's, I'm not interested in jacked up loads for the cheaper cast bullets but something more mild for plinking and such.

Load data that came with my Lee Classic Handloader list 19.2g (dipper 1.3cc) for the jacketed bullet. I was thinking about using the 1.0 dipper which should give ~14.76g if my math is correct and a velocity of 952 fps if everything stays linear. Does this sound legit or am I threading on dangerous grounds smile

I know I need a powder scale and it's on my list of additional stuff but I have the components to put a test round together today.

Treading on dangerous ground.

There is a reason you are not finding lil gun data for cast bullets. Powder is cheap, find something else.

One more question: Is there any significant difference in standard Jacketed Bullets and XTP Bullets for loading purposes?
