So, I’ve got a skunk that decided that under our porch would be a good spot for a new home. Plan on putting live trap under the porch with the back of the trap against the opening that he got in. What do y’all recommend to use as bait? Plan is to wear tyvec, goggles, mask, and gloves an throw a tarp over cage.

Sardines work good for skunks

What do you do If you trap one??
Shoot it while wearing tyvec, gloves, goggles, and respirator. Plan is to cover the trap before he sprays.

If you have a tunnel where they are going under a wall I have caught them with 5x5 bodygrips blocking the hole. Never had one spray and dead when you get there.

Giving them a shot of acetone is probably the best way to get them not to spray. They make a pole that holds a syringe just for it. Duct tape, conduit and something that will slide inside the conduit to push the syringe works in a pinch
