Coon bait

Anyone ever had success using popcorn? What about bananas? Saw some in the cabinet and got to wondering since im low on cat food and mini marshmallows

Honey bun all the way. If you dont want to put it in a dp try the popcorn and put a few pieces of honey bun near it.

Not a bad idea but I’m afraid to use too much sweet stuff due to the ants. Ants even attack my cat food

Corn is better when it's hot. Less ant problems. Going to try adding some scent like vanilla or anise to Corn and see how it works. Going to try it in a place that's not trapped much.

Spray some Raid ant spray under your trap to keep the ants away. The coons don't care.

Dry cherry kool-aid mix and shelled corn mixed together works well

Tuna in a ball of aluminum foil

I’ve even heard of folks using plastic Easter eggs for eye appeal. I may be trying that soon,especially in a cage trap

Steel traps ?

Nah cage traps. Seen people put golf balls on dog proofs too

I gotta say the new marshmallow ,popcorn, vanilla and kool aid concoction worked pretty good

I’ve used dry cat food for years and when they get tired of that I put some crawfish oil on the cat food
Rarely do they ever get tired of dry cat food

I got a buddy trying to bait coons and he did a buried bucket of corn, grape cool aid, water and sugar. Damn deer eat it every time he fills it up.

Folks I run some traps for bring wharehouse floor sweepings with rice, beans, grits etc. When that rice gets wet and sours the darn deer stay in it more than the hogs.
