For the price I figured it was worth a try

Excellent. I've been looking for some. I hate putting on waders when I don't have to.

I bought a pair of brown Magellan neoprene waders from Academy for $99. They are pretty easy on/off, if I get a year or more out of them I'm happy.

I bought a pair of Dan's snake proof waders last year with the Lacrosse snake boots and I've been impressed with them so far. $250 worth so they should be impressive though. They're made with the same material as the old Wick waders so I hope they are as well made as the Wicks were.

I have a pair of the Dan's snake proof hip boots. They started leaking at the boot not long after putting them to use. But when it's warm enough to really worry about the snakes, I don't mind a little seepage. I usually sweat more than they leak anyway.

Did you try contacting Dan's about them leaking?

I haven't

I would contact them and see where they stand on a warranty. Their website has nothing on one but they claim to be family owned and operated. All products are assembled by the Amish so I'd be interested to know if they'll actually back their products.

I heard back from Dan's, told to send them in with a note detailing issue.

I got mine too. They are much higher quality than some other cheap hip boots that I had that leaked very quickly.
